Yerrrrrr, what's up New York! I went on my first solo trip of the year to the city to visit my good sis Maiah. It felt so good to be reunited with her and to be back in my favorite state ever. I got there Thursday night so we didn't do much that night but Friday is when the festivities began. Since we both got in late Thursday night (me coming from Virginia & Maiah coming from Jersey) we slept in until 12pm by 4pm we were up and ready to hit the New York streets.

We spent the afternoon walking around Soho, chatting about how we can't wait until we're both living in the city together (2020 goals) & being the "#fashiongirls". When i'm usually in Soho i'll hit up my favorite clothing stores such as Supreme, Billionaire Boys Club, etc. but since we got there later than we usually would by the time we got to those stores they were closing for the day unfortunately. I honestly thing God & the Universe were trying to help me out a bit since they know I'm trying to save my coins & plus I already have enough BBC & Supreme lol. Later that night we ended up at City Island and ate at Seafood Island since Maiah is obsessed with fish & crab legs *palms face*.

Saturday we spent the day in Brooklyn. I'm so in love with Brooklyn. From the brownstones, to the street art, to the history about it from famous actors and musicians, etc. We had a late brunch at 'Sweet Chick' which is Nasir 'Was' Jones' restaurant. If you are in Brooklyn I beg you please check it out and make sure you get the 'chicken & waffles', omg AMAZINGGG! The atmosphere of the whole restaurant was such a vibe. From the decorations to the bomb playlist they had playing. After eating we decided to walk around the block to some random park and just chilled for a little bit. We spent the rest of our night at Coney Island enjoying funnel cakes, haunted roller coasters, & the Ferris wheel.

I had an awesome weekend with my best friend can't until I see her again in September to celebrate New York Fashion Week!
