10 Things To Do On V-Day If You’re Single

“All the single ladies, all the single ladies, now put your hands up!” Tomorrow is the big day that everyone dreads...Valentine’s Day. I actually love Valentine’ Day even though I’m always single on that day lol. I’m just a big sucker for love and seeing everyone with their significant other just warms my heart.

So if you’re single like me please don’t be that person. Y’all know what I’m talking about. The kind of person that hates on people going out and being in love. Just because you’re single doesn’t mean you have to go into hiding because of the holiday. Here’s a few things you can do when you’re single on V-D

1. Take yourself out for a nice lunch or dinner. Enjoy your food, a glass of wine, and yourself sis.

2. TREAT YO SELF! Go get a mani/pedi, get your hair done, go shopping, etc. The best thing about being single on Valentine’s Day is that you can spend your hard earned coins on yourself and nobody else Queen.

3. Hang out with your single girlfriends. Chill with your favorite gals & have a couple glasses of wine while y’all binge watch Gossip Girl on Netflix.

4. Enjoy yourself. Have some “me time”. Run yourself a nice warm bubble bath with rose petals, light a few candles, turn on Sade’s Greatest Hits, and relax!

5. Watch some comedies. If you’re a hopeless romantic person like me, don’t spend the day watching love movies with a ice cream bucket full of tears because you wish that was you.

6. Don’t go stalking your ex on Instagram. Sis, come on now we’re better than that. He’s moved on and it’s time for you to do the same. You look better than his new chick anyway Queen.

7. Work out. Here it is, now February and you still haven’t attempted to conquer your main New Years resolution (I’m throwing shade to myself.) Put down the box of chocolates and pick up that gym bag.

8. Hit up one of your local night clubs. Hey maybe you’ll have a Valentine by the end of the night and a lil something else if you catch my drift. *winks seductively*

9. Have an “Anti-Valentine’s Day” Party. Shoot, Jessica Biel’s character in the movie “Valentine’s Day” did it so why can’t you ? Somebody grab the balloons!

10. Buy yourself some flowers. You don’t need a man to buy you flowers (even though that would be nice.) Head over to Trader Joe’s and pick up your favorite daisy’s. Or buy a fake plant!

Remember ladies, being single is totally okay! Take your time finding your Prince Charming and focus on yourself Queen.
